The source headers, LICENSE files, and license metadata had drifted
apart. Align the entire project to MIT:
- Convert every source-file header to the MIT text across all comment
styles (Go, TS, TSX, JS, MJS, SQL, CSS, GraphQL, shell), including
SPDX-License-Identifier tags
- Set the root and cookie-banner LICENSE files to the MIT text with a
"MIT License" title line
- Switch the package.json license fields, Docker image label, and
cookie-banner README to MIT
- Update docs and the genmodels header generator accordingly
- Normalize copyright lines to a single format
(Copyright (c) <year(s)> Probo Inc <hello@probo.com>.): unify the
hello@getprobo.com and hello@probo.inc emails to hello@probo.com and
the comma-separated years to a hyphenated range
Genuine third-party references are intentionally left untouched: the
Lucide icon attributions (Lucide is ISC) and the trivy dependency
license allowlist.

Trackers sharing a display name can differ in type, so the generated
cookie and tracking technologies policy was ambiguous without it. Carry
the tracker type through the banner version snapshot and surface it as a
dedicated column in the policy table.
Stop the snapshot from dropping non-cookie trackers so storage, IndexedDB
and cache technologies appear in the policy and served banner config with
their real type. Duration now reflects the type when no max-age applies:
session storage clears with the tab, the remaining storage technologies
persist. Legacy snapshots predate the field and only ever held cookies,
so GetSnapshot backfills an empty type as COOKIE, keeping the non-null
GraphQL enum and policy output valid without a migration.

Change AuthorizationAttributer.AuthorizationAttributes to take a slice
of resource ids and return policy.AttributesByID, so a single SQL
round-trip can load condition attributes for a whole batch. All
coredata implementations are migrated to a single
`WHERE id = ANY(@resource_ids::text[])` query that returns only the
rows it finds.
Authorizer gains:
- AuthorizeBatch — all-or-nothing across a homogeneous (same entity
type, same organization) resource set; rejects mixed entity types,
mixed organizations, and empty batches with structured errors.
- AuthorizeMulti — heterogeneous evaluation that returns one error
per item and writes audit log entries in a single bulk insert.
The single-resource Authorize is rewired to delegate to AuthorizeBatch
so all paths share the same condition evaluation and audit logging.
recordAuditLog is split into buildAuditLogEntry plus a batch insert.
Tests cover the new batch and multi paths, mixed/empty/unsupported
resource cases, audit log batching, and dry-run behaviour.

The consent mode is now determined dynamically by the visitor's
country and its applicable regulation. The configured consent_mode
column is dropped from cookie_banners and added to
cookie_consent_records to persist the geo-derived mode at
consent-recording time. When no regulation matches, the default
is OPT_OUT.

Translation changes are cosmetic, not consent-contract changes,
so they should not trigger a version bump. Translations are now
loaded live from the database at serve time instead of being
frozen in the snapshot.

Introduce a required cookie_policy_url alongside the existing
privacy_policy_url (now optional) so banners can link directly to a
dedicated cookie policy — a compliance best practice recommended by
CNIL, ICO, and the EDPB. Existing rows are seeded from their current
privacy_policy_url value.
Both {{cookie_policy_link}} and {{privacy_policy_link}} placeholders
are supported independently in banner description translations.

Add PostHog opt-in/opt-out consent support mirroring the existing Google
Consent Mode integration: database column, GraphQL field, console UI
toggle, and client-side posthog-js calls.
Extract both GCM and PostHog logic from CookieBannerClient into a
ConsentIntegration plugin interface so future integrations can be added
without modifying the client core.

Include gcm_consent_types in the published banner config
so the cookie banner SDK can read category-to-GCM mappings
from the config endpoint.

The category slug provides a stable, URL-safe key used as the
data-cookie-consent attribute value and consent data key, replacing
the fragile category name. This prevents breakage when categories
are renamed.
- Add slug column with unique-per-banner constraint and backfill migration
- Add Slug validator (lowercase alphanumeric + hyphens)
- Propagate slug through GraphQL schema, service layer, and snapshot
- Update console UI with slug field in create/edit forms
- Switch cookie-banner widget to use slug as consent data keys

Add cookie_banner_translations table to store per-language
translations as JSONB, and a default_language column on
cookie_banners. Extend the version snapshot types to carry
translated UI strings and category content per language.

Replace the `required` boolean column on cookie_categories with a `kind`
enum (NORMAL, NECESSARY, UNCATEGORISED). The Necessary category remains
undeletable and always-on for consent; the new Uncategorised category is
also undeletable but users can opt out of it.
When a category is deleted, its cookies are merged into the Uncategorised
category (lazy-created for legacy banners that don't have one yet).

Move clientIP extraction into a reusable pkg/server/api/clientip
package with RFC 7239 Forwarded header support. Add
pkg/server/jsonutil with helpers for common HTTP error responses
(RenderForbidden, RenderInternalServerError, RenderNotFound,
RenderBadRequest) and use them in the cookie banner handlers.

Implement config, consent retrieval, and consent recording
endpoints for the JS SDK. IP addresses are anonymized (last
octet zeroed for IPv4, /48 mask for IPv6) before storage.

Add organization_id to cookie_banner_versions, cookie_categories,
and cookie_consent_records so AuthorizationAttributes can return
it directly without JOINing back to cookie_banners. Document the
pattern in contrib/claude/coredata.md.

Introduce append-only cookie_banner_versions table with a JSONB
snapshot of consent-relevant configuration (privacy policy URL,
consent mode, expiry, categories and their cookies). Each version
has its own state (DRAFT/PUBLISHED) separate from the banner
lifecycle.
Replace the banner state enum (DRAFT/PUBLISHED/DISABLED) with a
simpler ACTIVE/INACTIVE toggle. Link consent records to the
specific published version the visitor accepted.
